Cikarang, March – Harper Cikarang, a hotel committed to sustainability and social responsibility, has collaborated with the Bekasi Waste Bank Forum (F-BSB) to implement effective and sustainable waste management. This initiative aims to raise public awareness about the importance of waste management to prevent environmental pollution.
Waste management is a significant challenge faced by modern society. With a growing population and rapid urbanization, the volume of waste produced has also increased significantly. Therefore, concrete steps are needed to manage waste more effectively and in an environmentally friendly manner.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, Harper Cikarang has partnered with F-BSB to develop a program that not only reduces the negative impact of waste but also recycles it into reusable materials.
Arini Roch, Human Resources Manager of Harper Cikarang, stated, "We are very excited about this collaboration, as it aligns with our commitment to creating a clean and sustainable environment."
According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia generates approximately 68 million tons of waste annually, with only about 10% successfully recycled. Through the collaboration between F-BSB and Harper Cikarang, waste collected at the Waste Bank will be recycled into animal feed and plant fertilizers.
"Through this program, we hope to help reduce the negative impact of waste, as it will be recycled by F-BSB into something more useful," she added.
Harper Cikarang and F-BSB aspire to create a meaningful change in waste management in Bekasi Regency. This collaboration is the first step in a series of initiatives that will be developed in the future. With support from various parties, Harper Cikarang is optimistic that this program will provide a lasting positive impact on the environment and the local community.
Together, we can create meaningful change for a greener and more sustainable environment for future generations.
