Emergencies can occur at any time and in any place. However, many lives can be saved if handled quickly by individuals who are knowledgeable about the proper actions to take in emergency situations. Therefore, it is essential for the public to know how to act in emergencies, such as accidents, falls, injuries, and similar situations, to help save more lives. To minimize the risk of accidents for employees and guests, Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta has organized a First Aid Training session. This training, conducted in collaboration with Siloam Hospital Yogyakarta, was attended by the entire staff of Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta.

The training was led by the Siloam Hospital Yogyakarta team under the direct guidance of Dr. Deborah. Hotel staff were provided with basic knowledge of medical first aid, including procedures for handling accident victims, wounds, fractures, choking, and unconscious individuals. Additionally, participants were taught and practiced how to properly treat and bandage wounds in any condition.

"This training was held with the primary goal of equipping our employees with the knowledge to provide first aid in the event of an incident within our hotel premises. Safety and security responsibility is not just a part of the security team's duties; all staff have a role to play. Accidents can happen anywhere, such as in the kitchen, pool area, or guest rooms," said Wawan Eja Sukmawan, General Manager of Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta.

First Aid Training is a fundamental course that hotel staff must have to handle emergency situations. With this training, it is hoped that every staff member can promptly provide assistance to individuals suffering from illness, injury, or accidents requiring basic medical attention, whether they are guests or fellow staff members.
